Intelligence

The English term “intelligence” refers to the insights gained from the collection and processing of information.

In the IT field, the term is often associated with BI (Business Intelligence), which became popular in the early to mid-1990s. It refers to methods and processes for the systematic analysis — collection, evaluation, and presentation — of data in electronic form. The objective is to generate insights that enable better operational or strategic decisions in line with corporate goals. This is achieved through analytical concepts and the use of specialized software or IT systems that evaluate data about the company itself, its competitors, or market developments with regard to the desired insights. Based on these findings, companies can make their business processes, as well as customer and supplier relationships, more profitable, reduce costs, minimize risks, and increase value creation.

Nevertheless, BI can still be found in many different forms. At DieDefa, we do not necessarily rely on conventional methods and systems, as these are often inflexible and rigid, making it difficult to adapt to changing circumstances. New opportunities emerging from AI research enable the combination of context-sensitive systems and advanced semantic analytics with highly scalable technology.

Here too, we follow the approach of thinking and acting differently — always aiming to stay at least one step ahead of today’s standards.
