Mobility Services
Mobility Services — also referred to as Managed Mobility Services (MMS) — trace their origins back to a 2011 study by the Gartner Group. They are closely linked to digitalization within the mobility sector, arising from the convergence of traditional concepts of transport and traffic with IT and process management. This development was accelerated by the rapid market penetration of smartphones and tablets, which significantly transformed previously rigid infrastructures.
Today, smartphones and their apps integrate seamlessly into the technology environments of trucks, cars, and even smart homes. Technologies from the Internet of Things (IoT) are increasingly interwoven into networks that allow users to access and manage services — many of which previously had to be initiated manually — easily and conveniently across all platforms, from PCs and laptops to tablets, smartphones, and even the car’s central console display.
Examples in which DieDefa has also been involved include POI, fuel and charging, parking or toll, payment, and home automation applications. In this context, the “app” serves as the means to provide functionality independently of the backend — directly at the point of action, such as when refueling — in a simple and convenient way.
Our approach is to create practical, user-friendly mobility apps by focusing on targeted simplification as well as seamless functionality — delivering benefits for both end users and providers. Here too, it is essential for us to consider all aspects of a mobility service, from functionality and security to user experience.
After all, nothing is truly important unless it creates added value for the customer and meets their needs. And this is precisely what the DieDefa mindset stands for in this case as well.
